Your Waverley Park Experience

I think most of us are interested, first and foremost, in traffic control and I sense the focus is changing to more disputed areas that will weaken any concerted community action. I am concerned that we seem to be moving into a 'parents with young children versus the rest' scenario with growing resentment/disunity the most likely outcome. As someone who lives in a Ravenswood cul-de-sac, I am disappointed that parents cannot see why I would object to play parks being introduced - constant noise on any sunny/dry day, loss of privacy, probable encouragement to teenagers to use the area as a late-night drinking den and losing our access to our driveway/garage. With the exception of the flats, we all have front and back gardens and excellent parks nearby. Is that not enough? Can we please get back to the focus on the traffic and some discussion with our neighbours in the quieter streets who are understandably less likely to want any change?
