Tell us the good, the bad and the ugly about the streets and spaces around Waverley Park.

Add your Waverley Park experience

We need to understand how you move around Waverley Park, where you go, the streets and spaces you like and don’t like as much. That will help us focus on what to improve.

The best way of understanding those things is to ask you, the residents of Waverley Park, about your everyday experiences.

Please tell us! You can take a picture, write a few words, make a video or send us a sketch - whatever is best for you.

Click the button on the left to submit your experience, and see it appear in the mosaic. Don’t forget to encourage your neighbour or friend to do the same. Let’s start a relay to reach everybody in Waverley Park!

We would like the grassy triangle of ground at the end of Dinmont Road to become a space that people can use to sit/play in nature and for pollinator-friendly plants to be grown there.

We would like the surface of the lane behind Dinmont Road to be improved to make it more kiddie friendly

We love our 'hood...amazing residents, neighbours and friends! We believe that there's a strong community spirit and people looking out for each other and looking after their houses and gardens.

WP is walking distance to pollok park but the routes there aren’t great for family walking/cycling - currently it’s actually easier to drive in which is a real shame. would be great to have a nicer and safer route to walk there, especially as they...

I am very worried about car going through dinmont road car speed are very fast.

Crossing Dinmont road where it curves down from Minard road, before the green triangle of grass/trees is quite dangerous for pedestrians. If you cross from one direction (coming back from the coop for example) you have to walk out blind due to the...

The junction at the top of dinmont road where it meets minard road is really confusing for drivers and could do with some signage or a second set of lights...it can be quite dangerous turning in to Dinmont road. It’s also difficult for pedestrians...

The triangle of grass at dinmont/Durward/flats could be used by the community as a garden - growing vegetables etc and as a place to do activities for children. Residents have created raised beds and play areas at Pollokshields Quad, which works w...

Potholes are an issue on the streets of Waverley park and also surrounding areas, would be great to have them filled in.

A positive outcome already! I put a pin on the map on our lane ( Peveril/Ravenswood /Woodstock) suggesting we all try to leave our bins at the kerb side at either end of the lane (instead of the usual spot in the middle). And it worked! Bin men ha...

Having to worry about crossing the road on the way to school

If ways of strategically blocking off traffic routes are to be investigated, I really like the idea of blocking off little (or big!) sections of road with green space, instead of ugly concrete bollards. See attached images for configurations for ...
